Do I need building approval to replace my roof?
Yes, you will need building approval to replace a roof that is more than 20% of the entire roof area, and we can organise this for you. We organise and include:
QBCC Home Warranty Insurance, and
Council building approval and certification.
How long does it take to install a roof? And can people be home during a roof replacement?
The time it takes to complete a quality-crafted roof installation with the property left safe, clean and tidy on completion depends on the size and complexity of the roofing system. A roof replacement can take anywhere between three days and two weeks. Residents can be home during the removal and replacement roof process with the exception of an asbestos roof removal, in which case no one can be home while the asbestos roof is being removed during work hours.
Will our home or asset be safe from the weather during the roof removal and replacement process?
Yes, your property will be safe from the elements during any roofing work, and we only remove what we are able to replace in one day. We monitor the weather in the lead up to the project’s start day, and, if necessary, we will reschedule if wet or extremely windy weather is forecast and likely to be wet or windy all day.
How long is Bostock Metal Roofing’s workmanship warranty? And how long is Colorbond’s warranty?
Our warranty is ten years on workmanship from the time of installation with newly installed materials. Colorbond warranty is up to thirty-five years on Colorbond material products.
